Getting Around In Pennsylvania
Interstate 80 nearly divides the state in half. Interstate 76 runs through the southern part of the state, and connects the cities of Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Summerset, and Washington.  Pittsburgh, Johnstown, and Reading are all a short distance north of I-76. Interstate 81 runs north and south through the eastern region of the state.

Pennsylvania's Most Populated Cities
More than likely, you will be attending a Pennsylvania truck driving school near one of the cities listed below.

Philadelphia
The largest city in Pennsylvania, with nearly one and a half million residents, Philadelphia lies just west of the Delaware River, across from New Jersey. With its many one way streets, downtown Philadelphia can be tricky to navigate. Philadelphia is one of the most historic cities in the country and was the seat of the Continental Congress during the Revolutionary War of the 1770's.

Pittsburgh
Located in the southwest region of Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh is the state's second largest city. The Ohio River runs through the city and for many years, the steel industry was the basis of the city's economy. Since the steel industry has cooled off, the city has come to rely more on the healthcare, robotics, and finance industries.

Allentown
Allentown is a short drive north from Philadelphia. The Lehigh River runs through town. The 8th street Bridge in Allentown is one of the area's most beautiful bridges.

Erie
The city is named after Lake Erie because it is located right on the shore. Erie is a short distance from both Ohio and New York.  Presque Isle State Park is located across the bay from Erie, and is home to the U.S. Coast Guard.  Plastic is manufactured in plants throughout the city, and is very important to the city's economy.

Reading
The 5th largest city in Pennsylvania, Reading is about one hour northwest of Philadelphia, following the Schuylkill River. "The Pagoda" is the city's most famous landmark.

Scranton, Harrisburg (the state's capital), Lancaster, Williamsport, and Altoona are other important cities in the state of Pennsylvania.
